February 1, 2018 – Worcester, MA. – Building on the overwhelming success of the inaugural Worcester Wine Festival held in October 2017, organizers promise the 2018 version to be even bigger and better. “We were pleased – on so many levels – with how the inaugural Worcester Wine Festival came together”, said Ed Russo, one of the Festival organizers. “We had tremendous support from the Central Massachusetts community, the wine vendors, our sponsors, the City of Worcester and so many others. We are excited to move forward and announce the dates for the 2018 Festival,” he added.
The 2018 Worcester Wine Festival will be held September 4-9 in and around the City of Worcester. Special wine dinners, brunches and events are planned for Tuesday – 9/4 through Sunday – 9/9. The Grand Tasting will be held Saturday – 9/8 in the Grand Hall at Union Station, Worcester.
“After the dust settled on last year’s Festival, we surveyed our attendees and vendors and learned a tremendous amount,” said Luke M. Vaillancourt, another of the Festival’s organizers. “We will take that data and use it to surpass last years’ event,” he added. New for the 2018 Festival Grand Tasting will be expanded wine offerings and educational programs, as well as an expanded VIP Experience. VIP ticket holders will be offered exclusive entrance to the VIP Lounge to taste more exclusive wines and food.
An announcement on ticket sales will be distributed in late February.
More details will be announced as plans are finalized and will be posted at the Festival website: WorcesterWineFestival.com and on the Festival’s social media pages including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
