Scarpetta Wine dinner from Worcester’s The People’s Kitchen brings texture and flavor together where each course will have a saucy consistency and will be served with a different locally made bread to soak it up with. The welcome includes an Antipasto (Meats and Cheeses, Olives, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, Rustic Baguette) paired with Broglia ‘Gavie Il Doge’ (Cortese), Piedmont, Italy. The first course is a Heirloom Tomato Salad (Shaved Red onion, Oregano Vinaigrette, Herb Ciabatta) paired with Terredora di Paolo ‘Irpinia’ (Falanghina), Campania, Italy, 2015. The second course is Drunken Mussels (Zambuca, Tarragon Garlic Butter, “Bread”) paired with Cataldi Madonna ‘Malandrino’ (Montepluciano), Abruzzo, Italy, 2015 and followed by the main course, Ragu Alla Bolognese (Veal, Beef, Pork, Cavatelli, “Bread”) paired with Damilano Barolo (Nebbiolo), Piedmont, Italy, 2011. To conclude dinner, diners can experience the Housemade Ricotta (Macerated Peaches, Raw Honey, Corriander Raisin Bread) paired with Pellegrino (Marsala), Sicily, Italy, NV.
